Otis Redding Tribute at the Apollo

The Otis Redding tribute at the legendary Apollo Theater, for which the Dap-Kings are the house band, is next Thursday, January 25th. If you’re around NYC next week, you should definitely catch this benefit show! It will be hosted by Whoopi Goldberg and feature performances by the Dap-Kings plus special guests Otis Redding III & Dexter Redding, Aloe Blacc, Warren Haynes, Michelle Williams, Booker T. Jones, Steve Cropper, Jussie Smollett, Ruth B, Ty Taylor (Vintage Trouble), Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Paul Janeway (St. Paul & The Broken Bones), Nikka Costa, Marcus King & more. The event will also feature a pre-show cocktail reception fundraiser for the Otis Redding Foundation.
